This VE Food Culture Visit checklist helps restaurant teams assess culture and operational standards across front and back of house. Review first impressions, team presentation, and whether the restaurant is fully set up. Inspect kitchen cleanliness and organization, line fridges, temperature control, par levels, freshness, and whether busy items are within reach and prepped to spec. Evaluate pass setup, timing, seasoning, garnishes, and correct crockery, with a chef on the pass during peak shifts. Assess service flow, FOH–BOH communication, clarity between kitchen sections, and the effectiveness of team briefs so the right people are in the right places at the right times. Use this template to drive consistency, quality, and a strong food culture across sites.
