This internal audit checklist supports sites implementing BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9 Clause 1. It helps verify senior management commitment, a documented food safety and quality policy, and a plan to develop food safety culture. Use it to check clear objectives, scheduled management reviews, monthly leadership meetings, confidential reporting routes, adequate resources, and processes to track industry developments and legal requirements. It also covers availability of the current Standard, audit participation, addressing prior nonconformities, correct logo use, required registrations, and organizational structure with defined responsibilities. The tool aids internal audits and certification readiness but is not a certification in itself.
