Negative Pressure Isolation Room Audit for ICPs
by Samtah Ipc, from the Community
This Infection Prevention and Control auditing tool helps ICPs assess negative pressure isolation rooms for safe airborne infection management. The checklist verifies minimum pressure differentials, ventilation and air changes per hour, HEPA exhaust and 100% fresh air supply, placement of supply and exhaust vents, BMS-connected pressure monitoring with alarms, anteroom and patient-room door closers, hand hygiene facilities, PPE availability, sealed and cleanable surfaces, non-openable windows, emergency power for HVAC, and required documentation including daily logs, engineering checks, and calibration.
