This Solar PV site survey checklist guides installers and assessors through pre-install planning and compliance checks. Capture property details, occupancy, and existing renewables; review planning considerations, listed or conservation status, and building regulation impacts. Define proposed locations for inverter, generation meter, DC disconnect, and AC isolator. Conduct roof assessments including type, condition, slope, dimensions, shading risks, and scaffolding needs. Record electrical requirements such as tariff, consumption, EV loads, microgeneration, earthing and bonding, phase type, G98 or G99 notifications, DNO permission, distances, and voltage drop.
