This competency evaluation checklist verifies an employee or contractor’s ability to service a centrifuge safely and effectively in oil and gas operations. It guides assessors through pre-job risk assessment and walk-around, equipment isolation with lock out tag out, inspection of rails, welds, hoses, piping, and case, cleaning of feed zones and gaskets, lubrication of bearings and couplers, gearbox oil checks, fastener verification, reassembly, start-up checks, and functional testing. It concludes with documentation and supervisor notification to confirm competency to the BOS Centrifuge Service SOP.
