Use this NCPS School Grounds safety inspection template to systematically assess outdoor areas across your campus. Check surfaces like bitumen and grass for potholes or uneven ground; verify stairs and ramps are non-slip and unobstructed with secure handrails; inspect roofs, gutters, and air conditioning units for visible damage; ensure goal posts and netball/basketball stands are secure and stable; evaluate trees and shrubs for falling limbs and encroachment; confirm pathways are clearly marked, free of slip and trip hazards, and separated from traffic; and review driveways and car parks for signage and speed limits. Capture notes and actions to reduce risks and protect students, staff, and visitors.
