This mezzanine inspection checklist helps teams systematically assess workplace safety in elevated areas. Use it to verify housekeeping, identify slip, trip and fall hazards, ensure light covers and ceiling tiles are secure, confirm sturdy stair rails and tread condition, check lighting and emergency lighting, and ensure stairs are clear of debris. Review exits for obstructions or locks, confirm fire hoses and extinguishers are present, marked and accessible, and that equipment is clearly labeled. Validate PPE use, emergency stop accessibility, and the availability of exit maps. Record photos, comments, and observations to correct unsafe practices and improve compliance.
