This checklist guides pre energization inspection of low voltage or medium voltage circuit breakers and switchboards. It covers verification against OEM drawings, labeling, bolt tightening and witness marking, functional handle checks, IP2X compliance, earthing straps, and cabinet cleanliness. Technicians record manufacturer and ratings, capture photos, and run continuity tests across phases and to earth with pass fail criteria for open and closed states. Protection and trip unit settings are documented, including IR, TR, Isd, Tsd, ramp and time settings, with evidence photos and markup of the protection study. PLC or RTU point to point checks validate auxiliary trip unit status and breaker open close signals. The workflow ends with onsite sign off and engineer review confirming compliance with design.
