Use this scaffold compliance inspection checklist to verify safe and compliant scaffolds on site. Confirm SWMS are in place and signed, foundations are solid, face bracing is adequate, and handrails, mid rails and toe boards are installed. Check gaps at platforms and building edges are within limits, working decks are clear, and access by stairs is safe. Validate load capacity and duty ratings, confirm tags are present and completed, and that licensed scaffolders have provided evidence. Ensure public protection, loading bays built to plan, housekeeping standards, and removal of excess materials. Record non compliance items and complete a joint sign off by the site manager and scaffolder representative before handover.
