Pre-Inspection CWI Report Template

Use this pre-inspection CWI report template to survey residential or commercial properties before cavity wall insulation extraction, cleaning, or remediation. Record client and site details, property type and age, building finishes, structural and external condition, access needs, and remedial work. Capture flue type and condition, loft cavity caps, DPC, gutters, vents, and adjacent insulation. Document cavity depths by elevation with photos and boroscope images, materials present such as fiber, foam, rockwool, beads, or debris, and areas to omit. Include linear measurements, chimney and flue locations, and required access equipment. Complete a dynamic risk assessment covering ladders, roof work, manual handling, electricity, noise, vibration, and MEWP. Summarize surveyor findings and sign off.
