Non Condensing Furnace Installation Checklist
by Tom Fricker, from the Community
This installation checklist helps HVAC technicians commission a non condensing gas furnace safely and to code. It guides you to confirm vent support and labeling, correct drain routing with vent tee, secure condensate hose where applicable, CO detector installation and test, gas on and leak checks, GFI outlet test, condensate pump test, sealed return and supply plenums, filter placement, unit levelness, and system run verification. Capture make, model, and serial, add photos, record location and date, complete a homeowner walkthrough, and collect customer signatures for handover.
