by Keith Wigley, from the Community
This street lighting and guarding audit checklist helps verify compliant street works setup and site safety. Assess advance warning signs and sequence, coning and fencing of safety zones, barrier stability, pedestrian walkways and widths, warning lights, ramps and boards, and road plates. Confirm information boards and pedestrian arrows are correctly installed, equipment is fit for purpose, and the chosen traffic control method is appropriate. Record permits or NRASWA details, location, operatives, and QA or CTK numbers. Capture defects, comments, photos, and signatures, and log agreements for footway closures and contingency for vandalism or adverse weather.
