This lanyard inspection checklist helps workers and safety teams assess fall protection lanyards before use. Record equipment model, serial number, and manufacture year; review hardware for rust, deformation, burrs, weld slag, missing rivets, and functionality; check webbing for cuts, burns, holes, excessive wear, UV or chemical damage, and improper markings; verify stitching integrity and label legibility and dates.
