Installation of Steel Framing System Checklist
by Sebastian Szabo, from the Community
This installation checklist helps contractors and site teams verify key steps in steel framing works. It covers design compliance, deflection heads (25 mm) per engineering details, correct stud gauge/size and maximum 600 mm spacing, window openings per architectural drawings, and the installation of Siniat weather defense boards. It also checks use of GTEC fire-rated silicone sealant at board joints and at interfaces with concrete, plus correct fixings and spacing (max 300 mm, 13–20 mm from board edges). Use it to document locations, responsible parties, and sign-off to drive quality and compliance.
