Use this weekly civil excavation audit checklist to review vehicle condition, permits and risk assessments, training records, DNO identification, and COSHH information. Inspect rear-of-vehicle safety gear including fire extinguisher, first aid kit, eyewash, fuel storage, PPE storage, water labeling, spill kit, and ensure CAT and Genny are calibrated. Check trailer security and lighting. In the work area, verify NRSWA signing and guarding, safe access and egress, operative PPE, housekeeping, walk boards, spoil placement, trench depth and protection of utilities, street furniture, tree roots, drains, and duct depth. Confirm excavator condition, capture photo evidence, and sign off.
