This weekly audit checklist supports civil excavation teams in verifying site and workforce readiness. Inspect vehicle condition and housekeeping, confirm work packs, utility plans, permits, and site-specific risk assessments. Check training certificates, DNO ID, COSHH info, fire extinguisher, first aid, eyewash, spill kit, fuel storage, and PPE. Review trailer security and straps. In the work area, verify NRSWA signing and guarding, safe access for staff and public, walk boards, spoil placement, and housekeeping. Record trench depths, protection of utilities, ducts, tree roots, and street furniture, and assess excavator condition. Capture photos and sign off.
