Conduct a thorough inspection of firestops and cavity barriers across your project. This checklist covers continuity of horizontal and vertical cavity barriers; placement around openings such as doors, windows, extract fans, meter boxes, and service entries; requirements at upper floor zones, party walls, eaves, verges, ceilings, and attic rooms; spacing of vertical barriers; and installation of Flexi Fire Stops. It also addresses stepped party wall details, cement/gypsum board to party walls, timber blocking between trusses, and soffit fire breaks. Site readiness checks include compartment walls, temporary fire doors, lift shaft closures, removal of pressurized gas canisters, and clearing excess materials and debris to reduce fire risk.
