QA QC Cavity Barriers Inspection Checklist

Use this QA QC checklist to verify cavity barrier installation across floors and elevations. Confirm the correct barrier type per fire strategy drawings, proper fixings, tight abutment to manufacturer guidelines, and sealed cuts and joints with foil tape. Check vertical barriers are under compression and horizontal breaks allow the specified airflow, typically 50 mm unless otherwise designed. Ensure SFS wall barriers are fixed into studs. Record location details, levels from GF to roof, and sign off to document compliance.
