This daily plant inspection checklist helps crews verify the safety and readiness of construction machinery before use. It covers fluids and fuel levels, leaks, tracks or tyres, greasing and wear, doors, handrails, steps, seatbelts, and any FOPS or ROPS systems. It includes checks for safety systems such as SWL, lifting and reach alarms, reversing cameras, alarms and lights, full movement and function tests, service and park brakes, and the presence of a serviceable fire extinguisher. Cab cleanliness and condition are assessed, along with environmental and vehicle management systems like air conditioning, dust and fume control, and engine management. Operators confirm warning lights illuminate on startup then extinguish, and that machines are parked, left, locked, and isolated safely when not in use.
