Operators Daily Safety and Maintenance Checklist
by jason lowe, from the Community
Use this operators daily safety and maintenance checklist to complete pre-start checks on plant and machinery before use. Record machine identifiers and LOLER expiry, confirm access and egress are clear, and check engine oils, coolants and brake fluids. Inspect tyres or tracks, lights, horn, beacon and reversing alarm, windows and wipers, controls, service and parking brakes, seat belt and visibility aids. Verify steering, quick hitch and attachments, hoses, ROPS/FOPS, steps and handrails, guards, AdBlue, and emergency stop or shut-off. Capture photos and comments, sign off as operator, and escalate defects to the Plant Manager under a zero defects policy with manager review.
