Use this reinstatement inspection checklist to verify quality and compliance after excavation or utility works. Confirm all excavated materials are removed, traffic management and Chapter 8 controls are cleared, and the area is clean and tidy with no damage or spillages. Check that edges are cut correctly, materials match existing surfaces, and kerbs or edging stones are reinstated. Assess overall workmanship and acceptability, capture reinstatement measurements, and register them to prevent fixed penalty notices. Record the contractor responsible, date completed, and whether works are temporary or permanent. Finish with auditor name, signature, and approval to add the record to the project file.
