Mobile Crane Lift Plan Checklist
Use this mobile crane lift plan checklist and method statement to verify safe crane operations before any lift. Based on British Standard 7121-1:2016, the template guides pre-planning, defining the load, center of gravity and stability, access routes, ground conditions, and crane selection. On-site checks cover outriggers, packing and base, lifting accessories and SWL, operator details and competence, and visual inspections. It prompts RAMS verification and sign-off, role allocation (appointed person, crane supervisor, operator, slingers/signallers), environmental limits such as wind speed, working at height arrangements, and communication methods. A final review by the health and safety or site manager is required before the lift proceeds.
