This crane authorisation checklist is designed to be completed at the start of each new lifting activity. It captures crane details and serial numbers, verifies thorough and weekly inspection dates, and records evidence of certificates. It includes lifting accessory checks against the latest 6‑monthly report, plus item descriptions and serials. The pre‑lift section covers banksman availability and communication, correct outrigger deployment per the lift plan, overhead and underground hazards, oversailing of public areas, access to materials, weather conditions, and wind speed within safe working limits. Final authorisation requires signatures from the crane operator, lifting supervisor, and site manager.
