Use this railcar loading checklist to guide safe loading operations. Record railcar ID, product, capacity and qualification dates, then complete pre-load checks such as blue flag stop, wheel chocks, handbrake set, and visual inspection of tank shell, appliances and couplers. Verify hazmat placards and reporting marks, and inspect gaskets, pressure relief valve and bottom outlet. Confirm containment and grounding before loading. Post loading, torque manway lid bolts to spec, secure top valves and protective housing, and pin the bottom outlet. Capture total barrels and outage gauge to document the load.
