This forklift pre-use checklist helps operators perform a quick safety inspection before starting work. It covers key areas such as brakes, steering, service and parking brakes, hydraulic controls, mast and dampers, forks and locking pins, load guard, tyres and wheels, seat and seat belt, lights and beacon, horn and alarms, gauges, and safety guards. It also prompts checks of fluids and components including hydraulic fluid, fuel and connectors, engine oil and coolant, battery, belts, and radiator cleanliness. Additional items include windows and mirrors, wipers and washers, fire extinguisher, reversing cameras, and cab condition. The template records hours operated, rectification of prior faults, and captures operator and manager signatures. Do not use the truck until any faults have been rectified.
