Arson Prevention Inspection Checklist
by Muhd Nur Dzaki Roslie, from the Community
Use this arson prevention inspection checklist to identify and control fire risks across port facilities. Audit exit and fire doors, staircases, corridors, and passageways for clear egress. Verify fire extinguishers, hose reels, exit signs, manual call points, heat and smoke detectors, sprinklers, and hydrants are in place, accessible, and maintained. Check storage of combustible substances, spill kit availability, ignition source controls, travel distances to means of escape, and fire compartmentation. Record recommendations, review dates, and sign-off by area leads, facilities management, and WSH personnel.
