Capture photos of the lockbox and IRS cabinet with link cables, plus before and after images of the VM socket. Document cable types at the socket, attach cable photos, and confirm expected signal levels at the socket such as between minus 5 dB and plus 5 dB on VM meters or 55 dB to 65 dB on TV and satellite analyzers. Log whether the socket passed testing, note issues and troubleshooting steps such as checking other cable, diplexers, signal at taps, and faceplate. Include meter screen photos for test evidence and obtain resident signoff to confirm work completed to a satisfactory standard.
