The Oval Playground Daily Inspection Checklist
by Muhammad Firdaus Norham, from the Community
This daily playground inspection checklist supports facility and grounds teams in assessing the safety and condition of play areas at The Oval. It guides routine checks on equipment integrity, wood splintering, loose or missing fasteners, vandalism and debris, slipping and tripping hazards, and damage to EPDM surfacing. Sections cover compound and perimeter maintenance, cleanliness, signage condition, and structures such as the J3 Piper Club slides, Control Tower, Curve Swing, Kiddie Aeroplane, Helipad Spinner, Arc Swing, Airplane, and boardwalk. Use it to document findings, record hazards, and prioritize corrective actions to keep the playground clean, compliant, and safe for users.
