Residential Check Out Inspection Checklist
by Angus Sinclair, from the Community
Use this residential check out inspection checklist to document the condition of a property at the end of a tenancy. Record address, inspection date, and preparer, capture gas and electric meter readings, verify smoke alarms, keys, and fixtures, and flag cleaning and general maintenance needs. Note any damage beyond fair wear and tear, check exterior areas and waste removal, and record deductions. Attach photos, compare against the original inventory or schedule of condition, and add recommendations to the landlord for re letting. Designed to streamline deposit recovery and handover.
