Parking Lot and Passenger Loading Zone Checklist
by alexander.eckert@wichita.edu, from the Community
This inspection checklist helps assess parking lots and passenger loading zones for accessibility, safety, and compliance. It covers parking space dimensions, van accessible requirements, slopes and grading, wheel stops, access aisles, signage placement, loading zone layout, vertical clearance, and surface conditions. Use it to verify that spaces are on the shortest accessible route, aisles extend the full length of spaces, markings discourage parking in aisles, and signage is visible at the proper height. Ideal for facility and campus managers to document observations, note deficiencies, and plan corrective actions. Not a substitute for professional advice.
