This checklist supports estate and block health and safety inspections across housing sites. It covers fire safety controls such as access for fire services, escape route clearance, risers, door override functions, communal fire doors, self-closers, smoke seals, and secure plant and riser rooms. It includes signage checks for exits, floor indicators, action notices, and no smoking notices. Plant and maintenance areas are reviewed for safe access, hatches, ladders, and door condition. Communal areas are assessed for window restrictors, glazing, damp or algae, and potential asbestos concerns. Outdoor spaces and play areas are checked for risk assessments, equipment condition, and trip hazards. Underground car parks are inspected for ventilation, lighting, signage, and antisocial behavior. Contractor activity and any other observations are captured to identify hazards and track corrective actions.
