Kaiser Quarterly Fire Sprinkler Inspection
by Wm Jay Mather, from the Community
Use this checklist to perform a quarterly inspection of Kaiser fire sprinkler systems across bays and buildings. Record audit details, site location, personnel, and the quarter. Identify area of inspection by bay or building, and document system number and type. Capture air and water pressure readings. Complete semi-annual functional tests for pneumatic detectors, control panels, supervisory alarms, and manual actuation stations. Verify control valves are sealed open, accessible, and correctly tagged; confirm trim piping is leak tight and the alarm test valve is closed. Check panels are clear, tamper switch response time, and that the system is left in service. Note trouble areas such as no water flow, alarm delay, drainage, or reset issues.
