Compressor Analysis Report
Use this compressor analysis report template to document system details and diagnostics for refrigeration and HVAC compressors. Record refrigerant and oil types, model and serial numbers, and pre run checks including wiring, contactors, oil strainer and filter, drier cores, gaskets, pressure and vacuum tests, compressor mounting, rotation, and safety controls. Capture run current, pressure switch settings, oil level, amps, and suction and discharge pressures. Assess electrical faults such as winding damage, phase issues, overload, unbalanced voltage, locked rotor, and voltage surge. Assess mechanical issues including liquid flood back, liquid compression, contamination, moisture and copper plating, high temperature carbonization, and particulate matter. Add photos, summarize findings, and provide clear recommendations.
