BFI National Archive Gaydon Security Patrol

This facility security patrol checklist for the BFI National Archive Gaydon guides officers through a complete perimeter and building check. Confirm the outer gate status and notify Southbank security when starting patrol. Verify the gatehouse, garage, white huts, and three stone buildings are secure. Check D1 entrances and rear fire exits, and ensure maintenance doors at the back of the MFS are closed. Inspect windows and doors at the front of the MFS and confirm the Fire House is secure. Capture clear photo evidence at each step, re-secure the outer gate on exit, and record any issues such as people on site, gate malfunctions, lighting faults, or flooding, along with the officer’s name.
