ASTM E1527-13 Site Reconnaissance Checklist

This Phase I ESA site reconnaissance checklist follows ASTM E1527-13. Use it to document property details, limiting conditions, adjacent uses, utilities and waste, hazardous substances and wastes, petroleum products, underground and aboveground storage tanks, unidentified containers, potential PCB equipment, interior staining and corrosion, sumps and floor drains, heating and cooling systems, and other onsite equipment. Exterior checks include pits, ponds, lagoons, stormwater structures, evidence of waste disposal, stained soil, stressed vegetation, wells, wastewater outfalls, and odors. Includes interview prompts, FOIA interview summaries, a signature page, and optional non-scope items such as asbestos, lead based paint, mold, radon, and wetlands.
