Mines Vehicle Maintenance Pre-Start Checklist

Use this daily pre-start checklist to confirm a light vehicle is safe and compliant before driving to or within mine sites. Verify engine condition, radiator water, washer fluid, oil levels and leaks. Check all lights, reversing beeper, flashing lights and reflective strips. Inspect tyres and wheel nut indicators, vehicle body, cleanliness and company identification. Confirm required documentation including site passport, job sheet and task hazard prompt. Ensure safety equipment is ready, such as fire extinguisher, spill kit, first aid kit, safety harness, CB radio, hazard cones and wheel chocks. Capture odometer and registration details, record additional notes and sign off before departure.
