Scotsman TC180 Cleaning and Sanitizing Procedure
by Adam Sands, from the Community
Follow this step-by-step procedure to clean and sanitize the Scotsman TC180 ice machine. Tasks include powering down, isolating water, removing panels and parts, cleaning condenser grills, draining the system, and preparing a 10 percent descaling solution. Refill and soak, run briefly, then drain and rinse thoroughly. Inspect and replace discolored hoses, then prepare a 10 percent sanitizer solution, soak and run, drain, and rinse. Clean and sanitize the storage bin, spout, and ice level sensors, reassemble components, clear drains, and replace the water filter if fitted. Run the unit and discard initial ice to ensure safe, efficient operation.
