Use this standards visit checklist to audit canteen operations in distribution centres. It focuses on HSE and HACCP compliance, allergen information, PPE, food labelling and shelf life, and cleanliness across front and back of house. Review POS and pricing, menu presentation, vending readiness, equipment condition, and availability of consumables and cutlery. Assess customer service standards, stock control, pest management, and handwashing facilities. Verify compliance documentation, production planning, and previous action closure. Include profit protection controls for cash handling, wastage, stocktakes, purchasing, key security, and KPI performance against budgets.
