Use this F-097 Metal Detection Verification checklist to verify food production metal detectors at start-up, product changeovers, after sensitivity adjustments, when metal is detected, end of day, and at least every 2 hours. Record detector program, product code, test pieces used for ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel, and whether the product package was tested for verification. Document results, false reads, and any corrective and preventive actions, with management review and references to corrective action reports.
