This Event Authority to Proceed checklist helps event and venue teams confirm readiness and safety before, during, and after events. It covers access and egress, staffing and marshals, emergency access, signage, hazardous activity separation, flags and temporary fixtures, fire fighting equipment, lighting, electrical certification, toilets, first aid, security control and PA, waste bins, and documentation. It prompts verification of risk assessments and method statements, and records authorisation by the responsible person and acceptance by the event organiser with times. Post-event checks include dismantling stands and temporary features, electrical isolation, waste removal, and reporting any damage. Part of Safe Systems of Work.
