Bartender Certification Observation Checklist
by Stuart Moore, from the Community
Use this bartender certification observation checklist to evaluate on-shift performance and consistency. Review personal appearance and uniform readiness, drink specs, ice levels, wash lines, garnish freshness and placement, and glassware temperature. Assess station control, guest acknowledgement times, order taking, communication of wait times, and flow across stations. Evaluate guest interaction, suggestive selling, promotion awareness, and team support. Verify clean-as-you-go habits, bar top hygiene, equipment reset, back bar organization, and sink and floor upkeep. Capture findings, add comments, and coach to standard.
