This bar opening checklist guides bartenders and duty managers through every step needed before service. Tasks include unlocking coolers and taps, icing and stocking beer and wine, preparing garnishes and mixers, setting up service wells with glassware and utensils, and filling ice bins. Staff verify backups for liquor, beer, and wine; ready CO2 tanks and beverage canisters; set up blenders and frozen drink machines; and lay out menus, napkins, and barware. Sanitation checks cover sinks, plates, glasses, and overall cleanliness of bars, tables, bathrooms, and floors. Ambience and signage are prepared by turning on music, TVs, and neon lights. Finally, staff count the opening bar bank and start comp and waste logs to ensure a smooth, on-time opening.
