Defibrillator (AED) Inspection Checklist
by Adrian Niebling, from the Community
Use this Defibrillator (AED) Inspection v1.0 checklist to confirm the device is ready for emergencies. Verify routine maintenance logs, confirm the Active Status Indicator (green ASI) is flashing, check pad condition and expiry dates, and ensure the battery pack is within date. Perform and record a self-test per the operator's manual, confirm signage is visible, verify manuals are available, and assess worker competency. Capture photos, note additional hazards, and complete a sign-off to return the AED to a ready state.
