Initial Site Visit Checklist

This initial site visit template helps insurance and restoration teams record essential details after a property incident. Capture title page information, policyholder and insurer details, peril type, visit participants, and enabling requirements such as key safe access, parking restrictions, congestion charge, and ULEZ zone. Record whether asbestos testing is required and provide notes. Document inspection findings including property description, damage overview, and external works with supporting photos. Include mechanical and electrical information, note if an EICR or plumbing report is required, and attach photos. For each area or room, record location, dimensions, ceiling, walls, floor, joinery, gloss work, and other observations, with photos. Dedicated sections cover kitchen and bathroom details including fixtures, appliances, finishes, and measurements. Add any additional information to complete the report.
