Use this Solar PV site survey checklist to assess a property before installing solar panels. Capture customer details and site location, roof type and construction, dimensions, pitch, and orientation. Document shading risks, structural roof condition, access and safety considerations, and photograph the roof and proposed install area. Plan cabling runs to the DB and inverter, conduit needs, inverter location and ventilation, and confirm WiFi or cellular coverage. Record electrical details including main AC connection, phase, breaker changes, sub-DB splits, and plug requirements.
