This generator final inspection checklist helps verify a genset is ready for commissioning and handover. Confirm work scope completion, absence of fault codes, and that fuel, coolant, and oil levels are correct. Check harness condition, belt tension, batteries and terminals, emergency stop and isolators, engine starting, performance, and shutdown. Inspect fire extinguisher status, controls and indicators, guards, doors, and panels, and that safety decals are legible. Validate RCD-protected outlets, earth circuits and connections, and that a load test is completed. Ensure the unit is clean. Trailer checks include park brake, tyres and wheel nuts, axles and suspension, jockey wheel or stand, tow hitch and safety chains, drawbar or A-frame, lights and reflectors, compliance plate, mud guards, and wheel chocks. Capture date, customer, job number, equipment model, serial number, hours, notes, and before/after photos, plus mechanic name and signature.
