Use this DN-08a work instruction to guide the safe disconnection of a steel service bend from a metal gas main. Includes pre-job checks, isolation of the ECV, pipe preparation and cleaning, temporary continuity bonding, PPE and breathing apparatus, controlled cutting and sealing using denso tape or mastic, removal and capping, earthing of plugs to prevent static, leak testing with approved fluid, treatment of standpipes and abandoned services, and final verification and sign-off steps.
