AEP Forestry Contract Crew Audit Form

Use this AEP Forestry Contract Crew Audit Form to evaluate utility vegetation management crews performing line clearance. The checklist covers PPE and safety gear, traffic control devices, fall protection and approach distances per OSHA 1910.269, hazardous material storage and herbicide labeling, job briefings, and housekeeping. It also assesses forestry-specific work quality including species clearance, ROW width, danger trees, collar cuts, directional pruning, drop crotch selection, stump height, hangers, pole clearing, and cleanup. Reporting accuracy is reviewed for trees trimmed/removed, footage or acres treated, widening, and O&M vs capital data. Crew readiness, equipment condition, customer relations, permits, and planning are also included.
