COVID-19 Planning Checklist for Forestry Site Work
by Bruce Hamilton, from the Community
This FLS Annex 1 COVID-19 Planning Checklist helps forestry and construction teams plan safe site work. It guides managers and crews through travel to site, planning and constraints, emergency planning, site meetings, access and egress, managing visitors, hand washing and toilet facilities, welfare and changing arrangements, cleaning, procedures if someone becomes ill, self-isolation, and avoiding close working. It references Working safely during coronavirus in forestry guidance and includes risk assessment prompts, delivery and waste management controls, and record keeping. Use it to standardize controls, communicate site rules, and maintain distancing and hygiene across operations.
