Use this FSP 1a daily pool opening checklist to prepare a school pool for public use. Inspect outside areas, reception, staff room, disabled lift and changing room, pool hall, health suite, gym, studio, and plant rooms. Verify fire exits operate, alarms and AED show no faults, fridge temperatures are safe, hygiene is maintained, and safety guards are in place. Note maintenance defects, capture photos, and track corrective actions to meet facility standards.

This monthly managers inspection checklist helps leisure and aquatic facilities maintain safe and compliant operations. It covers front of house standards, circulation routes, public toilets, gym and studio equipment, swimming pool and changing areas, and office and staff areas. The checklist guides reviews of housekeeping, signage, lighting, slip and trip hazards, PAT testing, fire safety and extinguishers, DSE setup, and COSHH information. It includes plant room tests such as pool readings and backwash records, availability and storage of PPE, eyewash and emergency showers, as well as checks of external areas and car parks.
